Hugill speaks on future

Norwich City striker Jordan Hugill admits he doesn't know what will happen this summer, amid ongoing speculation over his future.

Having spent the second half of last season on loan with the Bluebirds, there's been some speculation that Cardiff might well be tempted to bring him back to the capital this summer, particularly with game time at Norwich seemingly at a premium.

And speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Hugill himself admits he isn't sure what the future holds.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen," he said after netting for the Canaries in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

“Ultimately I’m here, and I’m keeping my head down and working hard to be ready for the chances that are given to me. Hopefully, I’ve done that.”

I think there is a deal to be done if we can afford the terms.

That’s a huge ‘if’ I reckon mate. He could reduce his requirements though if it gets close to the wire. He strikes me as someone who wants to play first team football rather than sit in the reserves picking up a wage.

Andrew, I agree; but I don't think he will come here and believe Steve Morison has two potential surprises up his sleeve

Only time will tell, as these situations are both fickle and fraught with competition

It hasn't gone unnoticed me that barnet blue isn't on the 'Hugill in' case, too with one of his less than informative 'exclusives' ;) :laughing6:

i think Morison saying we're looking for younger says to me he's not on our radar, however come deadline day, if we haven't signed a striker, i think the club will make a move for him, probably a loan, but norwich will want him off the books, so it will depend on wether or not he would be willing to take a pay cut, it would be beneficial for the club if they could do a low-pay high bonus wage structure, reach x amount of goals for a bonus, etc.

Agree - can't see him getting much game time at Norwich now .
