I heard that Hugill is on £25,000 per week . Not certain of this ….. but it is from a usually credible source. I believe that no way will we pay all that .
Also Norwich are not really so keen on letting him go , so they will not carry any of his wages ….. this is assuming that they’d let him go in the first place.
Plus according to manager Steve Morison he won’t sign strikers of Hugill’s age, but it’s also his wage and he’s not worth that.
Hugill aged 30:
Bluebirds: 18 appearances / 4 goals
Norwich City: 31 appearances / 4 goals

I think it’s doubtful this will happen but Morison said he won’t be signing a “32,33 or 34 year old”, Hugill is only just 30 so age wouldn’t be a factor.
However, that level of wages would be prohibitive. There may be room for manoeuvre as it was stated the wage budget would be an average of £12k but there are quite a few under that.
But Norwich will want a fee too I would guess, so unfortunately that makes this highly unlikely.
It’s a shame as I think he would be ideal in this team but I think a Prem loan is more likely.

If he plays tonight and does not score he could be on his way out, if he scores and has a good game they will probably keep him.
But never say never as the window closing gets ever nearer

No way is he going to start ahead of pukki in the league.... so its warm the bench permanently or shift out until Norwich sell pukki.

It will be the last day of the window if he’s let go!!!
I get the feeling the last day will be hectic for every club in our leagues in this Country.

Even though he only scored 4 goals for us I feel like he had a certain presence up top. How many goals did the attack benefit from when he played? That’s the question. Hard to determine an exact answer because he caused problems even if he wasn’t directly involved with the goals in the first place

Agree, he joined play up so well and in this current team that would make a huge difference.
4 goals and 2 assists in a poor team last season is still way more than the current forwards we have will get in a much better team.
Personally I think he’d get around 15 this season in this team but in any event he would make a major contribution in giving us a focal point that we lack right now.

Certainly a different type of player from what I saw on Tuesday; more of the ‘Chopra’ type player that many (including myself) are hoping for. Be great to have him as well as a Hugill type of target man. If Carlsberg did transfer windows….
