Rubin Colwill against Bristol:

- 25 minutes played

- Most chances created in the match (2)

- Most dribbles completed in the match (3)

Real difference maker at the worst of times, the only player for us capable of opening up a defence.

Has to start against PNE.

He played a superb ball on Sunday that split the defence wide open, he has to start.

So what exactly is the problem for SM regarding Colwill?

Just to add pass accuracy Annis Ruben completed 91% of passes he made which was the best by a Cardiff player also managed the highest number of touches by a Cardiff player per minute played, which clearly show his determination to get involved and get us on the front foot. He also managed to give away the most fouls by a Cardiff player which shows he is prepared to get stuck in.

In my opinion SM has run out of excuses for not starting Ruben.

The next best Cardiff player in terms of passing possession was Sheyi Ojo at 83% who also won us the most freekicks but he got subbed. For me a poor decision when we are chasing the game.

There isn't one. Colwill was injured pre-season and likely is being brought back in slowly.

Also, Sawyers started the season well.

I expect to see Colwill get a lot of minutes soon. I'd give him a start against either Preston or Luton as it is 2 games in 4 days so both him and Sawyer can take one each.

We may well start him against Preston, the problem being Preston haven’t conceded a goal as yet, so it’s probably the most difficult game for an attacking youngster to try and stake a claim. Then he will get attacked for not making a difference.

Stop being one eyed and childish Steve.

Play the best players, Colwill is one of them. No room for dead wood, or petty issues with players. Be a man.

We was great on Sunday and should definitely start on the weekend. Either in place of sawyer or rinomhota imo

I think if he played there’s a good chance we would see Watters get a hat full of goals, I think if he plays the difficult balls when he makes the runs we will see half of them put Watters in on goal, and with more chances falling his way I think he’ll be able to work out how to beat the keeper.

For years we’ve had nothing, look at Zohore when he had decent service even he looked great

I would play him as a false No 9 instead of Watters

I would try Rubin upfront too

Personally, I would have built the team around Colwill in an advanced midfield role. Hopefully see more of him now he's regaining fitness.

He’s starting for the U21s today.

Good stuff. He needs the minutes at the moment.
