Usyk v Joshua

Sat Aug 20, 2022 7:22 pm

Anybody watching this tonight? I think Joshua gets done again, this time a ref stopage in the 7th. Usyk seems to have bulked up, which indicates he doesn't rate Joshua and plans to knock him out instead of planning for a points victory.Joshua must know that he can't outbox Usyk so will probably go for a knockout, making for a good match.

Well deserved win for Usyk can’t see how one judge gave it to Joshua but at least the right result in my opinion.

Yes mate. The judge who gave it to Joshua needs retiring. Well dodgey.

His behaviour afterwards was just embarrassing. The true face that the pr machine covered up for years.

Agreed, his mask slipped last night and we saw the real Joshua, a petulant, chavvy loud mouth.

Watched the fight and thought AJ would take it to Usyk more than he did; but a better performance than last time

Usyk was a worthy winner and the split decision was (sort of) inevitable when they had one judge from each fighter's home country. The American judge was the effective decision-maker and got it right...

Didn't watch the post-fight shennanigans but the immediate aftermath seemed very respectful

What was racist?

Watched the fight until the decision was made and then switched over. Just read reports this morning re the after conference and no mention; just signs of a mentally fragile guy on the edge...

AJ lost it and then apologised….people would have moaned if he didn’t care about losing .
Admitted his mistake

Joshua showed his true character at the end. The character that Hearn and the PR team hid for so long.

Made a speech at a BLM demo in London saying don’t give white people your money, give it to black businesses.
