CHANGE OF FORMATION ? :


With Collins out Morison may face a dilemma .


We have been playing well with four at the back - so Morison will not probably want to change the formation. The natural one to replace Colins is Began and in fact Began holds the squad number 3 …a strong indication that he is a prominent left back . However , recently Morison appears to be of two minds about Began ….. so tomorrow’s team selection could be a real test regarding his present outlook on him :



(1) If Began is picked then the full confidence is there .


(2) If he picks O’Dowda ….who clearly is seen as a wide player by Morison ….but who can play as left back …… then it will be an indication that he does not have enough confidence in Began ‘yet’.


(3) However , Morison May go for a change in formation and play 3 at the back Kipre - Simpson - NG …… with O’Dowda playing as a wingback … overlapping with Philogene . This third option is very attractive because both O’Dowda and Philogene have been on fire ….and seeing them overlapping each other can be very exciting .




So which will it be ?


It is a tough , yet interesting call . I believe he will not tinker with the formation that has been working well .

For me pick Bagan at left back in a 433 formation.He’s our back LB and now we need him,what he lacks in defending he gains in attacking.
He’ll be fine

Began at the back, keep O'Dowda wide, let him run at them, he's got a lot to prove them, if we have a penalty let O'Dowda hopefully score again his old side.

Anything but putting o'dowda at back total waste of his skills! That was shown on Wednesday where we badly needed him going at WBA defenders.

I was thinking the same in regards to Bagan. Decent player but we won’t finish in the top half if he’s our left back all season. He gets targeted and isn’t a strong enough defender. We really need a new left back in ASAP. Happy with Bagan as a back up bit if we have to try on him all season then we will struggle.

Love NG at centre back but I’d start him at left back over Bagan and bring Simpson in to partner Kipre.

What about the option of switching Vontae Daley-Campbell to the left? Not ideal but he’s got a point to prove and far more potential than Bagan-if he keeps his cool that is.
The switch to 3 at the back could work, as O’Dowda as a wing back would have more attacking license than in a back 4.
It’s actually refreshing to have options this season however we look at it.

I was thinking the same re Vontae Campbell. No good for Sunday though as still banned.

Give Bagan a break, he’s our only fullback that can score goals! Even highly rated loanees Cody and Rhys couldn’t score when they had the opportunity. Joe’s probably more suited to be a wing back but let’s give him a chance!
