‘ Jamilu Collins ‘

Thu Aug 18, 2022 6:26 am

The only blot on the night was the early injury to Jamilu Collins. He has been consistently brilliant at the start of this season and Morison hopes his knee injury, sustained in the third minute, isn't as bad as they suspect.

Morison also believes the Nigerian is, at present, the best in his position in the division.

"We don't know at the minute, in all honesty," the manager added. "He will be assessed in the coming days. With all the will in the world, let's hope it is just that he's in really bad pain at the minute and it's not what we suspect it might be.”

"I said to the lads at half-time, 'If you're going to put your bodies on the line for anyone, go and do it for him', because he has been the best left-back in the league so far."

Worried for the guy. He got injured making a great tackle. Looked in a lot of pain, but the physio was able to bend his knee and he was also able to walk off the pitch.

Looks like a decent stretch out of the team though, I'm hoping its just 6 weeks or so, but, like Sean Morrison before him, it could finish his season....

Yes he was able to bend it and the fact that the physio asked him to jog on it (which he couldn’t) has to be better than him writhing on the floor being carried off but I’m certainly no expert. Let’s hope it’s a few weeks.

Unfortunately he showed the classic sign of doing his ACL

Initial agony, easily bend the knee and able to walk in a straight line but in pain. It’s the change of direction movement that’s the issue when ACL goes

Hopefully not but that could be a season over injury

Arghh. I did say I wasn’t an expert. Let’s hope it’s not too bad though.

Spot on !! Did it myself playing, carried me off then I stood on it jogged back on and it seemed fine !! Then I just changed direction and collapsed in agony on the floor !!! Curtailed my, less than impressive, playing career !!

That said the physios normally know quite quickly so let’s hope JC looks worse than it is.

Rumors circling that he's out for the season.

Lots of tweets stating JC is out for the season, terrible news if true.
The club need to move quickly on another loan as just Bagan leaves us desperately short at LB and Quality.
O Dowd , we need to keep on the wing
