Mark McGuinness aged 21, completes a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday. Good move for him, 5th/6th choice at Cardiff at the minute.
Massive club, big chance for him to prove Morison wrong.

Mark McGuinness has joined @swfc on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23

Updated:

Championship club Wigan have come in at the last moment and asked for him on a season long loan, but Wednesday look favourites to get him.

Hopefully a loan, as I feel he has a future here with some experience under his belt

Unfortunately he has a few mistakes in him. Too many imo but best of luck to the lad.

A bit shocked as I reckon he was one of our better players last season.

As this been in the pipeline for a while. He's a lot better player and suited to our new style than Nelson.

Totally agree with you I liked mcguinness thought he was a good player gave is all for us and was keen to come to Cardiff last season I’m surprised at our club letting go down to league one

Good move for all involved. He’s currently 5th choice because of his inability of been able to play football. And when he does always has a calamitous moment in him. As seen numerous times last season and even in pre season. Hopefully he gets plenty of games whoever he goes to and maybe work on his ball playing, if not I expect he will be transferred out the following summer (depending on his contract length)

Not comfortable playing the ball out from the back, good move for all parties.

He was, but how poor were the players he was better than last season… we have 8 new players in our startling lineup now for a reason

I’m more surprised at his inability to play the ball. The guy has come from Arsenal where that would normally be a primary skill of any recruited centre back young or old. Either way whenever I have seen him play he normally comes with an error, normally from playing out straight to their players. NG too is guilty of this and I guess it is an occupational hazard of being adventurous in our play.
