Portsmouth manager Danny Cowley:

"It was a good night for us, to make that amount of changes we had made and some players making their debuts.”

“ When you come to a Championship club, keep a clean sheet and to win.”

"Five players who started were 21 or under, which bodes really well for the future of the club. They earned our trust and the senior players supported them really well.”

"We defended well from the front from the beginning, we also when needed put our bodies on the line… tonight was a step in the right direction and we understand we're a work in progress."

It looks like league 1 Pompey played their kids as well, and sadly smashed us at home.

I think it is a well done!

They also played youth , new starters and scored 3

Early days but when a Div 1 reserve side beats ours you need to question our strength and depth

Saturday's game already significant

Portsmouth were excellent second half and deserved the win.

It's over now, and our recent record in cups isn't great so let's all just move on

Move on???

Who are you once again to say this Paulh???

It’s about the manner in the way we lost and their heads go down.

The match was last night and we did the same last Saturday in the league, this is what a forum is for to chat over the days and discuss , debate.

So because you don’t like to read what the manager and the fans discuss you say move on???

You move to a non football forum or another one like you use to and back stab and shit stir.

It’s a football forum to discuss last nights football or any football.

If we win like we did v Norwich we loved it for 7 days.

Not to be told to virtually shut it and move on.

You use to say move on about our identity, if we had we would still be red.

Thats not great, just had a look they made six changes with four first teamers coming on as subs, although that was late and the game was already won by then.

That’s what worries me as Morison pre-season says he takes every game seriously and wanted to win all those friendlies v very low opposition and we’ve come up against a weak Pompey side and for me an awful Reading side. Brum home and Albion away will tell us more then the Worzels.

Disappointing but I'm not throwing myself off canton bridge just yet. Some from last night may not be up to it others are work in progress.I think our new striker will start Also NG will be back in with our new C/B on the bench.

Martin,

I’m with you on this Martin, not going to throw towel in and jump of any bridge
But will keep to what I said 10-12 games.
