Steve Morison gave seven players their competitive debuts from the start for this opening game of the season against promotion favourites Norwich


Allsop, Romeo, Ng, Kipre, Collins, Wintle, Rinomhota, Sawyers, O'Dowda, Ojo, Watters



It was an even start with both teams seeing a lot of the ball early on with no big early chances.

Allsop made a brilliant save to deny Cantwell from 25 yards out about 20 minutes in, a few minutes later Ojo had an effort from distance that was comfortably saved by Krul

Kipre was booked just before half time

HT: 0-0

Just after the break, Sawyers gave us the lead from distance :bluebird :

O'Dowda was booked in the 54th minute

McClean hit the post for Norwich in the 55th minute

Perry Ng was sent off in the 74th minute

Hanley was sent off for Norwich in the 85th minute

FT 1-0

Much better than previous seasons very exciting on pitch with little goalmouth action... but a win from a team that cost nothing!

Not sure what game this "Cardiff" Norwich fan was at, i thought the Norwich fans were quiet considering they brought quite a few. Canton stand were brilliant especially the last 20 minutes.
