Any player is available if a club is willing to pay for them is very true but also paying money that you may not have only ends up with club in situation of bury derby reading ect ect..... and before you say anything nobody knows citys financial situation to point of how much money club can pay in transfer fees regardless of who we sold... ... signing on fees not counted as it doesn't cost club any money...

Not sure what point is? We all know players available if willing to pay for them ... but the other question is does this player suit our club way we play or do we spend 3m like before on player that ends up a waste of money? Citys situation is what it is so about time people accept it and move on instead of bleating on and on saying same things? just like a car going around and round
a roundabout not knowing which exit to take....

You have previously said freebies are better than players that cost money. Righty ho...

Tell me, is every player that costs money a 'waste'? Its a risk that EVERY CLUB IN THE COUNTRY FACES

Citys situation is not 'what it is', its sadly what the three clowns decide it will be, and their decision is that it is entirely demanded or assumed that we WILL make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Year in, year out.

I do wonder if one of our many wingers might move in centrally as a false 9 .

They are doing a Derby, points deductions one day when they fail to go up, and it could take them down in the future, every casino and race track has gamblers, usually with miserable faces by the end of the night/day/season

With respect, not every club that spends money does a 'Derby'.

Its a stick used by certain obvious posters, present company excepted, to support the Regime and back up their callous lack of appropriate investment in a club they care not one jot about.

I agree and have suggested same, using Ojo as an example.

Luckily Pembroke put me right, and thankfully my opinion was stifled!

Good point, and sometimes it works, as we know ourselves sometimes it doesn't

We just have to be a bit careful at this moment in time, because of the Sala situation and we've had our fingers burnt over the last few seasons with bad buys, and over paid in wages.

If Morison can consolidate us maybe we can push on again next season, that said with a decent loan Striker we could kick on this season.

Actually I think you might well have made a good point on the "false 9" suggestion. Ojo is one option but I also think of Colwill fitting that role. He does remind me of Firminho in the way he joins up play and plays on the half-turn.

Ultimately I think Morison will sign a decent striker (probably on loan) but I do think there are options other than Watters and Harris up there.

You should say what you mean you said ojo @ no9 not a false 9? Big difference as watters is a true no9 not a false no 9.....
But think its obvious that morison as got in players who are capable of coming in from wide to score not just ojo .... whether they do is another matter but think opportunity will be there for scoring to be spread around team.

Ill readily accept your point of course that sometimes it doesnt. Please dont believe those who think I am completely blinkered

Derby went mad over a number of years. Im hoping and advocating that we should spend appropriately not wildly whilst remaining risk aware.

Ill be more than happy with a mid table finish, and, if I may say, if a takeover takes place, we can then have a proper board of Directors ready to push us on.

At least we agree on one thing? "Take over" needs to happen ..... unfortunately we as fans do not know clubs true financial situation regardless of players we've sold or removed from wages.. so people complaining we dont spend 1m or 3m in transfer fees on players is doing so without any knowledge of whether we can actually do it? Do you not Wonder how much we've actually spent on 13 players wages sighning on fees to players and agents fees ?
Someone as to pay it ... :old:

Fair enough, point taken, but when luton, Millwall, Hull, Swansea, Blackpool ( alledgedly) and to an extent Middlesbrough are able to fund what, in these days are modest fees ( still six figures), and they have neither the crowds ( Boro excepted) or Premier League income we have had, it is maddeningly disappointing that our Regime say, not limited money, but NO money for players and leave us clearly short in vital areas if the squad.

Do they expect us to plough through?

I accept Warnock wasted money, more than necessary, but if this were to be the case, drop a midfield signing and put it towards a forward?

From the outside it looks like the regime is a farcical mess.

From the outside it looks like the board are doing a decent job.

Keeping us financially stable and ticking over. Re-setting the club and hopefully making us more attractive and competitive. Time will tell of course.

As per your comment about NO money for players a couple of ‘in the know’ people on here have continually stated there IS money available for the right player. I, personally, don’t believe anything these ITK posters say but who’s to say Morison hasn’t been able to find the right striker yet or he has and been unable to secure him for a myriad of reasons.

We’d all like a new striker and I believe and hope we’ll sign one but I’m happy we’re not spending millions as in the past and I’m happy to go with and trust Morison.

Re: ‘ £3mill for striker ‘

Boro able to pay that as they have just sold Spence for a fee up to £20m..

If we are to improve our squad and have money to spend we need to develop players and sell them on.

We don’t have any worth more than £2-3m at the moment.

Colwill is our most saleable asset and would be the only one even close to that valuation right now.

Without a team full of 30 somethings the opportunity is there for this to happen.

A tidy batch of promising youngsters and also some signings with something to offer and something to prove.

Good seasons from the likes of Rino, Ojo, Watters, Collins, Adam’s, Tanner etc.. could see their value shoot up.
