Jaden Philogene-Bidace (born 8 February 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Aston Villa.[3] He is a product of the Aston Villa Academy and has represented England at youth level, he is currently a member of the under-20 squad.

Philogene-Bidace was signed by the Aston Villa academy from the Pro:Direct Academy in London in January 2018. He spent time on trial at a number of clubs in the English Football League, reportedly including Brentford, before settling at Villa.[4]

After impressing for the Under-23 squad, and reportedly attracting the interest of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund,[5] Philogene-Bidace signed his first professional contract with Aston Villa.[6]

On 19 May 2021, Philogene-Bidace was given his first team debut, coming on as a late substitute in a 2–1 victory for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.[7]

On 21 January 2022, Philogene-Bidace joined EFL Championship side Stoke City on loan until the end of the 2021–22 season.[8] The following day, Philogene-Bidace made his Championship debut as a late substitute in a 3–2 home defeat to Fulham.[9] Philogene-Bidace played 11 times for Stoke, scoring once in a 3–0 win against Swansea City on 8 February 2022.[10]

If he is half as good as our other AV recruit CCFC number 7. The great and sadly missed Peter Wittingham it will do for me

Watched this lad a few times last season for Stoke. He has massive ability. A real crowd pleaser. He is only young so will be inconsistent. He has fantastic feet, he is strong for his size and he is a wonderful passer of the ball.

He could be a huge signing. Will get fans on their feet.

I can imagine that Sawyers will have had a word with Morison.

Takes us to 29 players surely a few are going to be leaving. Maybe Phillips, Whyte, King and Sang.

We can make 5 subs this season as well. Having plenty of pacey wingers to run at tired defenders will be a good option for us.

As he has not been with our group for more than a few days pre Norwich, I cant see him as an immediate starter, but should be on the bench as an option.

The way we are going, I see Ojo as a lone striker moving forward.

He was on villas pre season tour if that helps....it also re iterates the problem clubs are having getting in loan players from premier league clubs before season starts.... In that they have not made up minds who to let go on loan until they've been looked at pre season... and watters is lone striker not ojo.

I hope not. We need a proper striker. Ojo should stay out on the wing. He’s never played as a lone striker.
