Saw the club were also advertising for a pro who’s looking to get into coaching. Could he be part of the 21s and be an emergency backup? I’d take that all day

Ian,

Some don’t like to hear the truth about the hierarchy and even more when it comes from a player lived by so many football fans.

Whatever he’s said can’t be that bad otherwise he wouldn’t be applying for a job with us. Be great to see him back.

Aye if any of this is true about him coming back.

Reminds me of Kimbo and the racist comments he suffered from Malky. Yet he went and played for him at Wigan.

Well Karl ,

The majority of football fans would disagree with you.

I like Sol as a person and as a player.

Your right the amount Ex players now becoming a stuck record saying how bad they were treated , The Hierarchy need to sort this out.
Players from years ago have nothing but praise about our club.

Annis,

I’m not sure about the majority! Social Media savvies maybe that’s because they are the new generation and Sol certainly plays a fiddle on social media/TV.

A lot of them probably were and I could mention a few but most of them didn’t react and go public about the Club. That’s the difference between them and him.

It was awful about his illness but he once again certainly made the most of it when David Brooks did not with the same illness.

The hierarchy are not local and probably will never be if things change. That causes a distance between us and them not being around the area.

There was a time when you could approach them as with the players but it’s all drifted a bit. Maybe we can get it back someway as we are a wonderful Club with passionate supporters who deserve better.

Giving Sol a job IMO at the Club is not the way unless it was head of TV media/social media.

I wonder if his presence would effect Morison? Sol is very big character I'm sure the younger lads would look up to him listen ,tremendous back to have in the locker if Morison did move on or was sacked and we needed a steadying hand ??

I thought he had more of a dig at McCarthy than the club but if he did have a pop at the regime it’s hardly a good career move if you’re looking to come back !!

If I let somebody go, they then had a pop at me, and a year or so later they applied to work with me again they’d have no chance !!!

I’m sure you’d be the same!!!!

100,000,000% would I like to see Sol back at our club.

Re: ‘ Sol Bamba ‘

I like Sol Bamba as a person and was my favourite player when we got promoted.

Sentiments aside, would he make a good coach? We have seen players who have gone into coaching and failed miserably, whereas we have players who have a poor football playing career, but gone on to become high calibre coaches.

I know he’s highly regarded by many. But are people only want him here just on the basis of being a past city player? (Apologies, as I have no knowledge of him coaching any players in the background, here at city or Boro).

For me, we need experienced and proven coaches to take the youth structure forward. Similar to David Hughes.

To say that Sol Bamba "certainly made the most" of the fact that he was suffering from cancer is certainly one of the most callous statements I have ever seen on this messageboard.

Could you explain exactly how he made the most of his very serious illness?
