Cardiff City defender Joel Bagan has said he is enjoying playing this new brand of football in pre-season.
The Bluebirds' marked shift to have more of the ball and win it back quickly out of possession is seeing them dominate games far more than fans have been accustomed to in recent seasons.
It is only pre-season, and there will be teething problems, but the build-up play has been encouraging so far and Bagan is certainly happy with what's been going on.
"It’s a new way of playing, and I think everyone’s taken to it. We’re having a lot more of the ball than we did a lot of the time last season," Bagan said after the 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town.
"I’m enjoying it a lot more. I’m getting forward more, creating chances, and trying to get a few more goals.
"There's a lot of new boys, and I think the main thing is just getting used to them. All of them are comfortable on the ball, so it makes it easier to play with them."
