The loan capture of Cedric Kipre from West Brom has been branded "a good signing" by former Baggies and England midfielder Carlton Palmer.
Kipre has been impressive in his two pre-season outings for Cardiff and seems like he will slot into Steve Morison's new brand of play very nicely. And, as Palmer says, where the centre-back is in his career, the move appears to make sense for all concerned.
"Yeah, I think it’s a good move for both parties. I mean, he’s obviously not in Steve’s plans, so it makes sense for the club to move him on," Palmer told Football League World. “He’s been on loan before, he hasn’t gone on a permanent deal.
“He’s just gone on a season-long loan. So that tells you where West Brom and Steve Bruce place him in terms of their long-term thinking and plans.”

Seeing Carlton Palmer's name always brings a smile to my face. Ron Atkinson, who obviously was not too enamoured of his technical ability once said, "Carlton Palmer can trap a ball further than I can kick it". Priceless.
