£19million value.

This can be one of a couple things .

My guess is that this is a simple conversion of debt into equity.

If so then this is good since it reduces our debt .

Tan promised to clear the debt 100% many many years ago.

We don’t know if there was any further loss as the Club’s latest accounts have not been issued yet ….. but I suspect that there definitely is .

Our last accounts had a debt of £109 million ( I think - out of memory). Maybe Tan does not want it to get any bigger.

Either tan will be taking the shares up or trying to raise more finance ,but with this issue everyone else's shares are devalued .

19 million value

It’s actually share dilution.

It once again devalues all the small shareholders.

But he can raise £19m

Why would he buy himself these or am I being dull

I am finding out Mike.

Don’t forget Dalman has lent us a lot of money at 8% interest.

It is, but my shares have been worth nothing from the day I bought them. I knew that was the case then. They are now worth a tiny % of nothing :-)

Debt to equity works this way ,basically tan takes the shares to swap 19 million of the debt .

Me too. Bought £100 worth which helped buy Kurt Nolan back in the 80's doubt they're worth a pound now.Still wouldn't change a thing got a share holding however slim.

Tan should be told this. You supported the club in its hour of need. 100 quid back then was, a decent amount of money.
In some cases a weeks wage.
Well done mate.

Talk about diluting the worthless shares even more! Is there nothing he won't stoop to?

Has any other football club owner ever
put so much money into a club for so little return.
A squad worth virtually nothing.
Had to sell Moore to balance the books last season..
In order to push on the cheque book needs to come out and top the squad up with some decent players
The only assert is the stadium..
Some might say Tan is running a tight ship.
In my opinion it's fool hardy.
A Derby situation is never to far away as far as I'm concerned.

What do you mean "stoop to" ?

This is pretty standard practice for limited companies offering benefits to the company and others, although not share holders !!

For years we've been waiting for conversion of debt into shares and that's what he's doing here. It may be a bit more delayed than many of us would like but this is a good thing for the club not particularly Tan (although it does make the club more attractive to buyers). It's certainly not a case of Tan taking money out of the club as some others have done with us and at other clubs.

But hey ho, where there's an opportunity to have a pop don't let the facts get in the way

Tan / Committee has squandered £hundreds of millions in the way they have run our club.
From the despicable rebrand to all the money lost after two promotions where we received £millions upon £millions

Bad management from the top is why we are now so skint.

One promotion we messed up big time, yet we did it once again.

11 managers / 6 CEO’s become costly.

We all know that despite the huge amount of money that you get from being in the Premier league, the vast majority of it goes on inflated transfer fees, agents fees and players wages.

We were losing 8 to 11 million a year before tan took over ,

Exactly hence the parachute money to try and soften the blow when going down .

Maybe VT would have liked to do this sooner but I am sure I read in the past that there were certain regulations he had to follow in respect to the Malaysian Stock Exchange and finance rules.

Yes Paul there are rules governing when and how he can do financial deals regarding these shares... was said long time ago on here by someone knowledgable in these matters.... but who knows why now doing it at this moment in time suspect he as got good reason for this action

Got to laugh, Mr Tan swaps debts to equities and that's 'STOOPING '
As for wasting millions, aye, being ill advised and persuaded in daily phone calls by NW, who along with other managers wasted millions on players they want of which some didn't even play much LMFHAO.

Can't please everyone I guess , he took us over when we were leaking millions PA.

We've had two promotions.

We seen good and bad signings .

We've been very fortunate to have VT a man who has no connection with Cardiff, picked us up and remained loyal ..

Wonderful stuff I've enjoyed his tennership

I like the “wasting millions” argument. Always comes from the same people who complain he doesn’t invest or gives us any money.

Can’t say that he hasn’t backed his managers though which is what everyone wants.

Even Morison ok no transfer fees yet but players like Ojo and Sawyers won’t be on bargain bin wages and Ojo 3 year deal
