Being linked to Lewis grabban on twitter this morning ,good experienced striker 1 in 3 goals in the championship.

Now that would be a great signing Wez.

He'll always score goals at this level and I'd be very happy if it turned out to be true.

Good striker and highly experienced at this level, will score goals and has good movement.

I'd be pleased, but what I will ask is where are those who are more than keen to moan when we are linked to anyone that is not young, keen, hungry, with a point to prove, and over a certain age?

Re: Lewis grabban

I'd be happy with him. And then a young one on loan as backup to push each other.

I agree with your assessment mate. Will deffo fit the experienced striker that we haven’t got atm. I think we have enough players now with points to prove and this could be the final piece of the jigsaw

To be honest we've been linked with virtually every striker in Twitter

Can't see us paying £1 m loan fee plus £30 k a week

He is on a free, his forest contract has ended he has turned down an offer from then, seems he wants to play regular, not be a bit part player in the premier

Re: Lewis grabban

I thought he was a bit passed it personally. Could still do a job though.

A couple of years ago I'd be overjoyed at the thought of Grabban joining but the million-dollar question is will it be a season too many for him.

We have seen a few over the years but nothing was worse than watching Earnie on his return (after his stint at Forest) be a shadow of the kid we saw seasons earlier.

It's not a loan, would he sign a 12-month contract or want at least 2 years, that could be an expensive gamble when we don't have that much money.

If there is any truth in this, its great we are not looking for a target man

That's my thinking as well. Id imagine he still commands a decent wage. Can we risk that on a 34 year old? But even at 34 he is still an improvement on what we have. 12 goals and 4 assists in 32 games last season isn't a bad return. Grabbon and youngster from the prem on loan could be worth it.

You’re obviously not clever enough to do sarcasm.

I’ll explain … at 34 he’s not anywhere as good as he was = a bit passed it.

Could still do a job = he’s better than we have and can urr? … can still do a job.

I'm probably the only one who's not that keen on this guy. Not a great fit for me.

Wez not sure about this, the striker that I posted about, was not named because he was under contract, but for another reason!

Exactly the type of player who we need to add experience to our forwards. It reminds me of when we signed Heidar Helguson after he was released by QPR as he was also 34 but that season he played 38 times for us and made a massive contribution to our promotion that season.

For me Lewis Grabben could be a game changer for our season.

This could be exciting

Pair him with younger Prem loan and we now have a balanced competitive team

Please no. Way pasted it. Forest fans I know sighed when he was in the squad.

I agree; and he's turned us down more than once before, so woukd it be a pay day deal for him (not that I see Steve Morison falling for that)?

Yes I agree with you both.

A couple of years ago maybe but not now.

In our last promotion season it looked like we had signed him in the January window but then he decided to go to Villa instead so I had a little smile when we got promoted and Villa didn't that season. As far as I'm concerned he didn't want to play for us then so he can get stuffed.

We've signed enough mid 30s has been strikers over the last few years and the only one who was worth it was Helgusson *and maybe Jimmy Floyd at a push).

Agree it would be a final pay day for him so it's a no from me.
