Everyone looks comfortable with the ball at their feet and we have pace all over the pitch.
When we lose the ball we are quick to win it back, none of this sitting off allowing teams to dictate the pace of the game.
I really like what Morison is building here, yes we are 2 Strikers and a centre back away from really challenging but the football on show is much more attractive.
No more hoof ball exactly what all we fans wanted. The team will take time to gel but I'm genuinely excited to go to games now.
The opposition hasn't been great so far but pre season is all about getting fit and seeing what combinations work and so far it's been positive.
Can't have asked for a better game to start the season for me, the favourites for the league at home and a real test that could set the tone for the season.

Totally agree the football is so much better although we still need 3/4 quality players if we are going to get anywhere near the playoff’s
A huge improvement on Dinosaur McCarthy and his ridiculous 5 centre back nonsense

I thought we looked very comfortable on the ball first half especially the back four 2nd half thought the back four did not look that comfortable on the ball apart from Bagan

Yea I agree. For me Nelson and McGuinnes are not ball playing centre backs so don't work as a pair. NG and Denham both far more comfortable on the deck.
New centre back is definitely required, however the football we are trying to play is a vast improvement on anything I've seen over the years.
For me it's the entertainment aspect, I'm not saying we're going to win the league we're still lacking that real quality in certain areas but it'll definitely be more enjoyable to watch us this season.

Difficult not to agree with all that mate. Great post.

Nelson looks like the worst of the bunch imo. His distribution is poor.

I’m not entirely comfortable with McGuiness in a back four tbh. Think we need an organising centre back that’s good in the air and pretty mobile. Trouble is, one way or another, they won’t come cheap.
