‘ Having a medical ‘

Wed Jul 13, 2022 8:08 am

At last James Collins is off on a free transfer to Derby County.
Collins is having a medical today.

After scoring against Cambridge and last season again doing it v lower opposition, I could not believe once again Glen Williams was praising him and making out he’s good enough for us.
There is a hell of a difference playing in these friendlies v lower league opposition than v Championship matches.

Collins is a Lower league striker.

Collins departs Cardiff City after scoring 3 goals / 29 appearances for the Bluebirds

Shame it never worked out for him here.

I loved his first goal celebration at Preston in front of us.

Hopefully this means a striker announcement is imminent.

Let’s hope so anyway!

No one can doubt his work ethic and he has a very professional attitude but not a Championship player for me but in League 1 Derby are getting a very good player.

I say thank you for everything James and good luck.

Spot on Gary,

His worth ethic is top.
But as you said not a Championship player.

Wouldn’t be against this. Technically he is very good and has a burst of pace. His goal against Rotherham was a real strikers finish.

I’d like to think we have a rotating three up top. I’m all for direct football if it’s done properly but how many times have we seen trickery and pace destroy our defence.
