Still very early days and we've only had two pre season games against lower league teams.
But the early signs suggest we have a real star with Tanner.
Very good start from him.

Ned,
Very good, but his final not good enough and very raw.
That final ball a big worry.

Agree Annis but definitely the type of player that will get fans excited.
I'm going to Cheltenham on Saturday and looking forward to seeing him play.

There’s a reason he was playing at the level he was. All depends if he can work hard and improve. If not he won’t make the grade.

100% agree
It’s a massive massive step and we will see over the coming months.
So far v Newport/Cambridge and struggled on final ball.
Plenty of games fir him to work on it.
Let’s see his final ball v Norwich etc

Annis, totally agree re his final ball but maybe with a quality striker (or two) that’ll make better runs etc, it’ll make it easier for OT to put a good ball in. Just a thought.

Not sure the quality of the final ball has anything to do with the opposition Other aspects of the game do You either have the talent to deliver a quality ball or you don’t I thought he was much better thou last night

He has alot of quality on the ball.
Personally I'd look at getting him in a cam role. Play to his strengths.

Let’s please give the kid some time before we say if he’s good/shit.
He’s just come from non-league and is under a lot of pressure from our fans already as he’s better than anything we’ve seen on the wings in the past 10-15 years. Yes he needs to improve his final ball but I have no doubts that he will. He will win us more points than he costs us this season.

Exactly this

. So far he’s played 90 minutes for us, coming up against L1 & L2 defences and has barely put a foot wrong.
There was a reason Tottenham wanted him.

I thought he did well last night despite Newport having 2 men on him but that didn't stop him bringing other players into to play like the pass to Sang on the edge of the box.
You can see why Spurs were interested and we need a little patience with him because the is a super player in there.

He was the stand out Player by a mile last night, albeit against a very poor Newport side. It will be interesting to see how he fares up against better defenders. But he is quality that is no doubt.

Certainly good enough for coaches to work with. As I’ve said above, it may make a difference with better quality strikers to feed.

Beats his man well, and looks a real talent. I agree that his final ball needs work, but a quality striker in front of him, making the movements may help with his delivery.
This kid has got something and with the right coaching he could well be a gem of a player.
The strikers we have simply aren’t that good, not out and our goal scoring strikers.

For a player who previously has only played at the 9th level of the English football pyramid I think he has been excellent He can only improve as a full time professional footballer Yes the opposition has not been great overall but he looked better than any player in the oppositions sides we have seen
Hopefully baring injury we may start to see a very good player developing

To be fair to SM, he seems to have accrued a decent crop of footballers in a very small timeframe. As well as more established players like Rino and Sawyers, we also have a player with great potential like Tanner. Of course the acid test is how good is Morison's coaching skills because he now seems to have most of the raw material he needs at his disposal.

Thought his final ball was better last night than on Saturday but certainly something that he needs to work on.
He's a real talent
Very direct
