‘ Chanka Zimba ‘

One of Cardiff City’s brightest prospects Chanka Zimba ( 21 years old later this year) found the back of the net for Newport County in their friendly win over non league Hungerford Town.

The striker sealed a season-long loan to the League Two side, where he has linked up with ex-Cardiff first-team coach James Rowberry, and will hope to kick on after a frustrating spell with Northampton Town which was blighted by injury.

But a confidence-boosting goal will surely do him some good as he prepares to play a big part in the Exiles' push for promotion out of League Two this season.

Zimba and Watters are currently the most natural goal scorers at the club.

Remains to be seen whether Watters can do it at this level and Zimba is still young.

But Zimba, in my mind, looks a complete forward - fast, strong and knows how to finish.

I hope he does well at Newport and comes back to us ready for championship football

I'm really excited about seeing Watters getting a run this year. I must be honest, I don't know much about Zimba although I do remember him banging them in for the Under 23s. Lets see how he does, good luck to the boy
