Starting lineup after first preseason match

Sun Jul 10, 2022 10:50 am

Watching that match yesterday got an idea of who could start first game of season, I know there’s still few games left and players can make a new account of themselves but judging on knowledge of players so far, one position was definitely nailed down(rinamhota)
GK:Allsop (comfortable playing out the back and reliable in goal
CB:Mcguiness ( general all round good centre back)
CB:Denham (didn’t notice him make any mistakes looked good all round too, NG looks his backup)
LB:Bagan(he is the best finisher in the squad I’d put him upfront :laughing6: , jamilu looked good going forwards but not good going back whereas bagan is decent at both)
RB:romeo (his role up for grabs after that game both right backs didn’t make a good account for themselves both hid most the game)
CM:rinamhota (left side of midfield three he was our best player by country mile, good at every part of the pitch I could make a whole list on what he did well.)
CM: Wintle/King(dificult one this I would’ve loved to have seen enough adams stake a claim but unfortunate his injury, wintle more solid defensively but long looks better and keeping the game flowing in midfield, either one of them is a good choice)
CM:Sawyers/Colwill/colwill( only colwill younger played and looked pretty solid tbf, but we need some classy creativity a bit further forwards in midfield and either sawyers or colwill could provide)
RW:Tanner(deserves to have a shot looked exciting not something we’ve seen for a while as morison said needs to improve a bit on final delivery/finishing)
LW: odowda/davies(both didn’t play but would like to see how odowda does I have question marks whether he’ll be really good or just a backup.)
ST Watter(only striker we have that is actually half decent, I think he deserves a chance to be a championship striker, I definitely think we need to sign a striker or two though, one better than watters and if watters gets injured we have no strikers to replace him )

That was based on 4–3-3 played during the friendly, looking forward to the new season though after that performance showed us playing out from the back more and a modern style of football I’ve never seen the club play before, followed Cardiff for 6years
