Why are playing players we want to get rid of? Could get an extra u23 player instead. What a waste.

I personally would not play Collins after Morison has said he can go, not in our future plans.

He might score like he did last season against lower league clubs, you will then get Glen Williams praising Collins again and we end up keeping him

There have so far been No bids for Phillips.

Yes I realise that but someone who’s on the transfer list and we are actively trying to get rid of should not be taking any part in pre season. In my opinion of course.

We judge strikers so easily perhaps looking at how they are supported from midfield is something we don't fully realise and since the departure of Whiits and Gunner its not been wonderful outside of our excellent loans last year .

Awful goal, didn't stop the cross. Romeo wrong side, both centre halves watched a lobbed cross come in for a free header.

City forced into a change - @Ebouadams cannot continue. Appeared to be a collarbone/shoulder issue. Hope you are okay, Ebou!

Who else thinks in Tanner we may have a gem on our hands.

I know you can’t judge anything off the back of one game, but a couple of players stood out. Rinhomota seemed to pop up everywhere, Tanner certainly looks to have something about him.

Thought Sang gave a decent account of himself too.

Few things I noticed in this game:

1. We clearly have a plan play from the bank and to to use the GK while in possession at the back splitting the 2 CBs and also using a deeper midfielder in the middle. This means the fullbacks can push on a bit more. It'll open us up to silly errors but it'll be whether we have the skill to pull it off more often than not. I think we will need a "classy" CB in who is very comfortable to make this work.

2. Rinomhota looks a step above everyone else in the midfield that played today. Him and ralls will hopefully develop a good combo

3. Collins and Bagan look good but rusty, think we'll be fine that side though. Need to see more of Romeo and Daley Campbell.

4. Tanner definitely has potential. Just got something about him that makes you excited when he has the ball. With the right management he could become very good from the little we've seen.

5. Need at least one new striker. Collins and watters scored but we looked lacking overall. Harris, Davies and colwill could play the winger/inside forward decently well but could also do with another if being greedy.

Lastly, Joel Colwill did well coming on unexpectedly likewise king looked very tidy as usual. Be interesting to see how we use the fringe youngsters this season or whether they get loans etc

We need 2 new strikers

Harris is not championship standard and Collins is on his way

Absolutely agree with that.

Apparently Steve Morison has been looking for new strikers, a permanent one for the last 6months.

1. Think McGuiness is a nailed on starter but we definitely need an experienced head alongside him. Denham looked good on the ball. Usual mistakes from our most experienced cb Nelson.

2. Agreed, he looks like the dynamic box to box midfielder we’ve lacked since probably Mutch. Didn’t shirk out of any 50/50s too. Will improve us massively in the middle of the park. Was noted how he was our main threat down the left too. Happy to drift out wide and create space.

3.
