Huge salary relief

Only Flint from the departees has gone to a club at the same level as the City. Some have dropped more than one division.

Doesn’t say a lot for the standard of the rest, does it?

SM is a fantastic manager so far gotta say he’s done very well off the pitch.

Keep in mind that 6 of those players are good enough for this level though

Well documented that I don't like him as a person but Warnock and Malky did incredible jobs.

The managers came out with the players they wanted (wrong choices and over priced on many occasions) and the board backed them.

Warnock didn't have the longterm success of the club at heart, just wanted what was best in short term to suit him.

He brought in millions from promotion, but wasted millions and millions on very questionable signings. Granted the transfer committee agreed them, but makes me wonder what dross and friends of warnock/agents they said no too... Must have been some crazy things put forward.

There must have been alot going on behind the scenes, and demands from warnock to allow signings like the Mckay twins to go through... Crazy tbh!

The main thing is... They (tan and the committee) have appeared to have learnt their lesson, the approach since SM has come in has been brilliant.

As for current sqaud, there is value there now for sure... If downes is worth £12m, we have plenty worth good money and even more with potential.

I for one, am looking forward to thr season, the squad is looking strong imho, we will get the missing strikers and should be looking playoffs at least... Anyone thinking this sqaud will get relegated is mental! Just take time, actually look at the other squads in this division... There arnt many that I would take over us. The squad is stronger and more balanced than last year, despite halfing the wage bill! With further outs to come Sang, Collins, Phillips, whyte, Harris.. Might even get some fees for them!
Added to the fact the results post SM comming in up until the last 5 games when he starting messing around, would have had us close to playoffs!

History also tells us, if we are challenging come Jan, Tan will find extra money for the final push.
