Always a long shot in my view. Experience, plus international experience, but never prolific.

Would have been high profile but maybe a waste of a loan.

The conspiracy theorist in me would think this may have been the stalled signing a few weeks back and that he was looking at what GB was doing.

Playing at City with GB would have enhanced his World Cup chances.
