Striker 1 in 3

As we desperately need a striker, the key stat for me is the goals to games ratio. It has to be 1 in 3 or above at league 1 standard or above. That costs!

Currently:

Harris - 1 in 9
Collins - 1in 3.7 but 1 in 4.5 in Championship
Davies - 1 in 14
Watters (if he stays) - 1 in 4.5

Last year:
Hugill - 1 in 4.2
Ikpeazu - 1 in 5

Linked:
Maja - 1 in 4
Tyler Roberts - 1 in 8

Both not good enough.

Kieffer was the closest - 1 in 3.1 better in recent years.

As I said we know this costs, but this goals to game ratio is the one I'll be looking at over any "names", and at a decent level.

Watters goal ratio for his league/non league career is under 3.1 so not sure what stats you are going off. If you go off his league (champ, L1 and L2) only record his ratio is 2.2

He's played 27 league 1 and Champ games combined. Scoring 6 goals, only 1 in the championship.

I don't think he's the talisman to get us promoted...

Vardy at a similar age scored 4 in 26 in his first season in the championship.

This is a good rule of thumb, but when we won the league wasn't our top scorer on 11 goals? We had goals coming from every position as far as I remember. Goals per game as a team is far more important. A 20+ is just the simplest way of getting that figure up.
