He can't blame the opposition this time, it's about time Moxey had his comeuppance! The disgraceful and unjustified way in which he treated City fans will always leave a bitter taste.

I think that this was only 2 weeks after we beat Brum 2-0 at NP and the Brum supporters ripped our seats out as well!

Wolves got their come uppance though, as I remember we won 2-1 away as well!

2 years before that there was absolute mayhem.

The Wolves fans ran down the bank to attack City fans, and lets say, got a bit of a shock. Lots of them bottled it and a few scrambled back up, one slipped right in front of us as he came down and presnted a grateful pair of shoes with a perfect target.

Beforehand the behaviour had been pretty good from the 2700 City fans there, but the police totally lost control with running battles all over, Cardiff battling, Wolves running mainly

Once the touchpaper had been lit though it was crazy, the police totally lost control. there was one car rolling down the hill without a driver where a City fan had le the handbrake off and another City fan nicked a cops hat which we had on our coach coming home. Its now got pride of place 'somewhere near Caerphilly'.

Our walk back to the coach was strange, the police just seemed to be randomly blocking areas off and then kept us in the compind for what seemed like about 3/4 of an hour. God knows what was going on elsewhere because hundreds of City fans must have come on the train etc..

Anyway, when the next year came along they halved our allocation and I decided not to go as I thought the wMP would be just looking for an excuse, because they were humiliated and nobody answred the plea for info. off the pics in the Echo. as it happened thats exactl what went on, there was abit of commotion under the stand at half time 'we want beer and WMP waded in battens out for abot 15 min utes.

The season after, Moxey banned us.

Ironic really as the wolves fans started the trouble the first year (we won 3-2 and Jones was in charge of Wolves)
and WMP caused the trouble the 2nd year.

Would have been more peaceful had the Wolves fans and WMP been banned

Anyway, prior to the 1st incident Wolves fans had attacked wigan and Reading fans in a similar manner, by running down the bank outside the ground. Quite nasty incidents too against 2 clubs with very few 'lads' to fight back. Not much was said about them and I guess they thought they could do the same with 2700 City.

Yes, sort of thing you would expect from Wolves. I have been to Notts County ground a couple of times (my sister in law is a County fan), and they are without doubt the most old fashioned, non-aggressive supporters around. There is still a large contingent of old ladies with their rattles! Pretty sick targeting these kind of supporters. Don't know if their away contingent is possibly more up for it, but still!
