My View:

I fear that if Bale does not join …… we will find it very difficult .



Too many players to successfully blend together as a team .





We are relying in the main on unproven young players …… also on a yet to be proven manager (he had some success but also we hardly improved).



Let us be realistic ……. Tan …… for whatever reason ….. has run out of juice .
He and therefore we have no other choice but to go the cheap ….. take a chance on a cheap inexperienced ….yet promising and hard working manager.


I feel that this may possibly be Tan’s last chance. If we achieve success he will live to fight another day ….. if we fail then - I think - curtains.

I've said this for a few year's now that Tan has lost interest so the sooner he sells the better imo. There are risks that come with selling but we have to take risks to progress in the right direction.

I agree, it's important that we get Bale now, he can add so much to the club and the team and attracting the best loanns from premier clubs will be a lot easier if we get Bale!

I think he's coming, he would have known how important this is and said if he didn't fancy it and had his heart set in a different directon, he wouldn't string his home City along.

Would be perfect for someone like Giles. To come in and learn off Bale for 6-12 months. Any club would be stupid not to take that opportunity to develop their own players.

I just hope it’s done sooner rather than last minute so we have time to settle the squad and get them gelling together.

Bale signing/ not signing will make a massive difference in season ticket sales .

The last time we did a rebuilding job like this was Malkys first season. We finished 6th and reached the League Cup final.

I appreciate people are anxious as no "big names" or familiar players have signed yet. But lets see where we're at after 5-10 games and then cast judgment. For now we should be upbeat, positive and supporting the boys.

I have enough trust in the club that they went into this season without assuming we’d have Bale and would base our business around not having him.

As someone else has mentioned, the speed at which we’re signing players makes it likely we’re signing Morison’s first choice targets and not scraping the barrel for players other clubs won’t touch.

Signing Bale would be a bonus to the already established plan and not an integral part of it.

Great Post, this is very similar to Malky rebuild, he was also relatively inexperienced at Watford. It's early days and squad overhaul is coming along well. No real gambles and no money of note spent. Bit of experience and a couple of strikers and we will be looking good.

Morison knows he's got to build a side capable of getting to the playoffs regardless of whether Bale comes or not.

You obviously dont read this forum or watch/listen to sports news ... what makes you say it's a pipe dream considering what GB and his agent have said... also what do villa ncastle have to attract him that city doesn't? And it's not money if that's your thinking.

I don't get how Bale signing with a team in America would make any sense for him, when their regular season finishes on October 9th

Maybe players are deciding to come here - as they believe Bale may also be coming ?
