Former Cardiff City manager candidate Michael Beale is set to join the Bluebirds' Championship rivals QPR, according to The Telegraph.
Beale was favourite for the Cardiff managers job and was interviewed by the Cardiff board, money was the stumbling block.
Beale was a real consideration for Cardiff following the sacking of Mick McCarthy back in October. Beale, who was assistant manager at Rangers at the time, was in the middle of negotiating a move down to Aston Villa to assist Steven Gerrard when he learned of Cardiff's interest.
And it was down to Morison and Beale at one stage, however Cardiff went for the former and the rest, they say, is history. Now, Beale, who cut his teeth in Liverpool's academy before heading out to coach in Sao Paolo, looks as though he will be in the opposite dugout next year at Loftus Road,
Mark Warburton left QPR at the end of the season after his contract was not renewed. His team had finished 11th in the Championship, winning just two of their final seven matches.
