‘ Aaron Ramsey will be available as Free ‘

Juventus have already begun talks to rip up Aaron Ramsey's contract following his loan spell with Rangers, reports in Italy have claimed, which will make him a free agent.

His last three years have been badly plagued with injuries and so he won’t be able to command his past high wages.

Ramsey’s wage is £12mill a year (£240,000 a week) and he is currently negotiating a pay off.

Ramsey will be 32 years old this year and it’s also believed Rangers have shown no interest in signing him, Ramsey though is interested in still staying at the highest level to continue winning trophies.


It is thought the Wales star is surplus to requirements in Turin, with Massimiliano Allegri keen to get his lofty wages off the book this summer following an injury-plagued three years with Juve.



And Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport have claimed that negotiations have already started over terminating the player's contract a year early, with a severance package reportedly being thrashed out by all parties. In a rather scathing full-page article by the newspaper, they label Ramey, who joined on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal in 2019, as one of the "greatest disappointments" of recent years.



It is said that Ramsey's loan to Rangers, with whom he won the Scottish Cup but missed the only penalty in the shootout defeat by Frankfurt in the Europa League final, had a clause inserted for the Ibrox club to buy him for £5m at the end of the season. Rangers have decided against taking up that option.

With Juventus wanting rid of Ramsey, the report states that the size of the severance fee is the "only obstacle" between him staying with the club and becoming a free agent.

Ramsey was the last big name to come out of the Cardiff City academy, he will not be to short of options this summer, if Juve do indeed settle up and terminate his contract. They are trying to avoid paying out the full £12m salary he will earn over the next 12 months.

I always thought there was more mileage in Rambo coming back than Bale arriving. Simply because he does have a proper connection with us.

However, I think if he's on a free there will be a a number of Prem clubs who will take a gamble on his fitness but I would love to see him back here. He's still got the ability but it's just about how many games you can get out of him in a season.

Could be a very expensive punt given his injury time not playing! But a deal at city could work both ways as get game time but wont cost club mega bucks if out injured.... cant see him playing for peanuts at another club but city is different kettle of fish given his affiliation to us plus best buddies with GB and got house nearby? .. but unfortunately all pie in sky stuff

I think he was only fit enough to start 3/4 games in all the time he was there.

They certainly haven't got the finances to compete with the Prem tems.

No longer in the position? When have we ever been in the position to sign players of Ramsey’s quality? He’s a top 6 PL quality player

If you dream of bale/rambo your mad or unrealistic..... unless you dream of relegation then your rational and realistic...

Would love him here but I think he has more to offer and will be in the Premier League. You never know though, if Bale comes... anything is possible. Huge, massive if though.

I think Rangers is a non starter, too far from his home, family and businesses.

The converse is Cardiff City makes total sense. Money is not an issue for Bale, but fitness, training regime, family and business commitments dictates are an issue for him.

Whilst it may be a pipe dream on my part, it makes total sense for Gareth to finish his very illustrious career at CCFC for the reasons stated above.

Fantastic player when fit but he seldom is. Don’t want him at Rangers or City, he wouldn’t be bangs for Buck.

Would love him back at City, one of the Greatest Welsh Players.
