Well with just six days to go until the big one the early signs are good.
Rob Page has assembled the squad and the last few players have now joined up (Bale, Johnson and Thomas) and dare I say it
all reporting fit and ready to go.
So Rob Page now has the best chance to prepare for the playoff final in which I am sure he will be very careful how he uses the players for the Poland game on Wednesday. He does have somewhat of a challenge on giving some game time to the likes of Joe Roden and Danny Ward and indeed Rambo and Bale, given that they have not seen a great deal of first team action with their clubs of late. It is also a consideration of how much involvement Johnson and Thomas will have on Wednesday It will be interesting, incidently Thomas is looking a better option than Johnson following yesterday's playoff final the boy is making big strides forward!
Its fair to say that Page's issues are far less of an issue than Scotland. Scotland will have to put their first choice 11 out on Wednesday against Ukraine and go for it, and they are already missing at least 3 big players from their squad including their star player Teirney From Arsenal. The question is how will their players mind-set be playing Ukraine on Wednesday, how will Ukraine react on the night and maybe how does the referee perform, will there be a sympathetic view to Ukraine on split decisions. The result of that match could go either way.
Back to the main event, SUNDAY,
hmm, I am a nervous wreak looking forward to it but also fearful of it, as there is so much riding on it for all of Wales.
1. Can Wales qualify for the world Cup for the first time in 65 years
2. If Wales prevail will GB sign for the mighty Bluebirds
3. and my wife has given me a pass to go to Doha as a retirement present.
The tension is too much,
BUT THE RED WALL WILL PREVAIL
