Andy Dibble has joined Motherwell SPL League, they contacted him a few days ago and offered him a coaching job, good luck to Dibs

Boro and two other clubs from League 1 all offered him a job.

Great to hear, didn't think he'd be out for long as he's a good coach. IMHO I was surprised how he went, GK's have been our strongest position for many years and Dibbs oversaw that. Also, all GK's now have to play football too, sweeper keeper etc, you won't even get into an academy if you can't, so I don't buy that we need a coach who can do that as Dibs did that. Anyway, good luck Dibs, Motherwell now have an excellent GK coach.

It was shocking how he went, No notice , 2 days before Derby away. Still has over a year left, so City have had to pay up.

Sorry but I have to disagree on Dibs doing good work with the keepers on footballing ability and sweeping. That’s the weak link in every keeper we have had. Always had a keeper that’s a good shot stopper but with terrible distribution. I’m guessing that’s why we are looking to change. Just my opinion of course.

Ramsdale on the new Crouch podcast is a good listen about modern goalkeeping. Obviously more the style SM wants. I don't begrudge the guy trying to improve the team.

It's also the championship guys and something has to give. Keepers with the full package are playing at a higher level

AD was one of the remaining parts of the ever departing Warnock era......I doubt it was about the ability of our keepers and more to do with "my" team.

We are all in on SM, lets's hope he knows what he is doing..

Yes good luck to him, but maybe Morrison was right, like most of the players that were released, (not loans) he has to drop down a good few levels to find a club?

We need the best quality coaches and players we can get, there is no room for sentiment in football.

We didn’t even have good shot stoppers last season. Our goalkeepers had the worst save to shot ration in the entire league.
Good luck to him, it’s never nice losing your job (moving hundreds of miles across the country at short notice isn’t easy either) and I sympathise with the sudden change in his fortunes but if he didn’t have a prior connection to the club people wouldn’t be up in arms about him leaving.
