Ryan Giles is set to be given a shot to impress Bruno Lage

Ryan Giles is set to be given a shot to impress Bruno Lage at Wolves this pre-season as the former Bluebirds loanee looks to force his way into the first-team reckoning.

We understand that Cardiff appear resigned to the fact they will miss out on Giles this summer, with Wolves seemingly planning on sending him on loan to another Premier League outfit. Giles was a standout for Cardiff before he was recalled by his parent club in January, however he enjoyed less success at Blackburn Rovers in the back half of the campaign.

What happens next is still up in the air, but according to BirminghamLive, "Ryan Giles set to take part in pre-season after a successful campaign in the Championship."

Should he impress, he might even get a shot at playing for the Molineux club in the top flight next term, let alone head out on loan.

Not good enough for PL.

Won't come back to us because they don't like us for some reason but he'll end up back in the Championship.

Did well for us but struggled at Blackburn.
