‘ Steve Morison looking at Striker / Winger ‘

Postby Forever Blue » Sat May 21, 2022 3:34 pm

Millwall second striker / winger Jed Wallace trusted by Steve Morison and available on a free.

Aged 28, mainly a winger.

Apparently enquiries have been made?

Second striker in a three behind the one.

He'd be a great signing.

This would be a quality signing. Wallace is an excellent player at this level and one of the better players in the division, in my opinion.

He's good mates with Morison so possibly a good chance this will happen.

I've always rated him and besides his obvious qualities he has experience we desperately need!

All the signings we have made so far are better than what we have. This will be the best signing so far if it comes off.

Would love this to happen. Tanner on the left, Wallace in the hole and Bale on the right. Bloody hell

Won’t be happening. He’s being tracked by a huge number of clubs, been offered £50k per week at Besiktas (rejected) and want a go in the Prem. More likely Forest of Burnley.

I just don't see it.

How many premier league teams are going to offer him first-team football?

Quickly looking at it and i am purely guessing but this must be the first time he has played for a club that has finished higher than us.

At 28, even on a free he would have to settle as a squad player.

He is a great player and i'd love him to sign for us, but i can only see him staying in the championship, maybe a forest if they don't make it or Sheffield. Us getting him would be a sign of intent but i am not holding my breath.

Tbf, if SM gets Jed Wallace in, it will already have been an exciting transfer window. What I am seeing so far is pace, tenacity, great attitude etc. :ayatollah:

Good post.
He’d be a great signing for us but if he was premiership standard he would have left Millwall to go there by now.

Bale in hole and Wallace on the right I reckon. Mind you they could switch constantly. Please let this happen.

He is a player who would be in our so called wage structure A bit of digging states he is on 12 to 14k a week at Millwall Not sure why he would turn down 50k a week mentioned earlier in this post
He will not go to the premiership as not good enough in my opinion

He doesn’t want to go to play on Turkey. He has a family and is settled I in the UK.

Personally, I think he’d do alright in the Prem.

Forest tried to sign him in January but it fell through. They, Fulham, Burnley and a host of other clubs are on standby. He’s waiting to see how the teams end up (ie. Championship/Prem) to make a decision.

Highly unlikely a player being tracked by Premier league clubs and offered big money to play abroad is going to end up at Cardiff City!!!

It’s that time of year lol.
As much as I love the speculation it’s pretty much all guesswork from the press

Rog,

Certainly does not rule us out at all in fact with them knowing one another it could give us the edge. Tick tock watch this space.
