“Yeah, we benefited because Kieffer leaving gave us something else to concentrate on instead of the Kieffer Moore saga! We did our business off the back of that in January with loan players and it helped us secure our safety.”
“He helped Bournemouth get over the line. The agreement we had in place was a figure and there was stuff built into that, one of them was promotion. That’s why you do the deals, that part of it was a no-brainer.”
“Well done Bournemouth and Kieffer Moore. But I’m not here to talk about that. It’s great for Wales and he will be more confident next camp. But Bournemouth and Kieffer Moore is not a worry for me.”
Annis this says it all to me!!!

Roger,
The sale was all about getting money in once again not building a team around a top striker who is probably worth £10-£15mill.

Moore wasn’t worth £10m-£15m when we sold him. If he was a bit younger and the transfer was pre-covid then I could see us getting £10m. Covid means finances have dropped significantly for all clubs. If we didn’t sell until an offer of £10m came, we wouldn’t have got it.
Also why would we keep him and build a team around him? He was horribly out of form and didn’t want to play for us anymore. He only had a contract up to 2023 which he almost certainly wouldn’t have extended so we would have wasted money building a team around a player who was leaving in 1 season.

If you knew the truth, Moore was virtually told to go a year last January.
From then on his heart was not here , not his fault.
Their seems to be a pattern emerging.
If we had bought a player like Harry Wilson and shown Moore we wanted him, I honestly believe we would of made the play offs
