I have to disagree and agree , population of Bournemouth 500,000

But they’ve never been a big club.

As to business and football sadly I agree with you

That’s the wider urban area which includes Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Ystrad Mynach, etc.

The 2011 census has the population as 346k so I’d guess it’s around 370k now.

Bournemouth is nowhere near 500kin population more like 200k.

The 500k is the South East Dorset metropolitan area including Poole and Christchurch.

Cardiff is 350k alone without its metropolitan area population.

Sorry, stats and demographics is a bit of a geeky OCD thing for me.

I always think the best way to judge a clubs potential via population is with the two letter postcode prefix divided by the number of league clubs in the postcode

Bournemouth BH 550k
Brighton BN 800k
Cardiff CF 1m

That's the good thing about football, although the size of the City and the size of the fan base, and cash generated through owners or borrowings or massive income are all an advantage, a small well run club can make it to the top and become a big club

It's time we stopped moaning about the size of the town, it has almost nothing to do with it, it's the football philosophy and organisation and determination to plan to succeed that matters, and making the right decisions, especially who is going to manage the team!!!

It's a tough job and although I like Morison I would be getting the best available Manager and paying what it takes for the rebuild, but we won't so I hope Morison proves me wrong, in fairness he did just have a fantastic Winter transfer window, one of the best for many years!
