Can you have a "heriditary" injury?

I know you can have such a disease , so are Walesonline/ Dave Jones saying that he has a disease passed down through his family genes that is causing the problem?

Or are they just using the wrong word?

I have hereditary diarrhoea. Well, it's in my jeans (genes) anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it.
