Cardiff may well welcome back a familiar face next season, after Joe Bennett celebrated promotion to the Championship with Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Former Bluebirds star Bennett made over 150 appearances for City before his release in 2021. The left-back then signed on with the League One Latics later that summer.

Great player, he was underrated by a lot of our fans (not you Annis I know you're a fan) he was a big loss.

He’s way to good for league one , glad he’s back in the championship. I was gutted he left us as said he’s very underrated by alot of our fans

Injured for most of the season, he only played 11games for Wigan! We did offer him a contract but he turned it down?

Well done to him and Wigan .
