I was only adding to your list, as I don't like golf either!
I tried it once on a squash weekend away with our team to Warwick!
We played on an eighteen hole putting green in Warwick Park, which I didn't mind so much, but the following morning (after umpteen pints of lager and an Indian), we played a nine hole pitch and putt at Leamington Spa!
I was totally bored, couldn't be arsed to try and hit the stupid bag of elastic bands and ended up throwing the fooking thing instead of hitting it!
I gave up after about 3 holes and went to the bar and got pissed!

Only ever played zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz golf once. A nine hole course against my
brother in law. First shot straight down the fairway. Second shot chipped about
2" from the hole.
He was playing f**k "if you've played before why didnt you say, childish this is
whats the point bla bla bla".... I hadnt!! To be honest I was shocked myself. I
thought 'f**k me - ive found my true vocation'
Next hole took me about 9 shots
After that hole I stopped counting.
I've never picked up a club since
Stupid game!

For once, Thomas, I agree with you

Cricket is the worst sport ever 100%.
My Reasons
Takes all day to complete a game where virtually nothing at all happens, waste of a day in a persons life.
Its the rubbish version of baseball. In baseball you run in a square whereas in cricket you run back and for. In baseball you can only bat in a limited area whereas in cricket its open so therefore baseball requires more skill to hit the available target.
Its worse than golf because in golf you have to hit the ball towards a target. A hit and hope will rarely ever work whereas in cricket it does the majority of the time.
Another reason its worse than golf is because in golf you get to wear nice clothes and designer labels and actually look smart whereas in cricket you look like a right knob in the those white uniforms.
....
It usually stops constantly due to rain and then after hours and hours of wasting time on Sky Sports they decide to postpone it or end it as a draw. What a waste of space which could have been used to put football, boxing or rugby on.
....
The biggest tournament in cricket is the ashes and the actual trophy is not even made out of platinum, gold or silver. It looks like something out of an old treasure chest that only a demented pirate would want. Why anyone would want to compete for that hideous thing is beyond belief.
....
The money you get for playing in baseball is far superior to what you get in cricket, therefore the majority of normal people would opt for baseball as its more challenging and you get more back out of it.
....
Cricket is responsible for producing Phil Tufnell. However, if you ask someone "do you know Phil Tufnell and what does he do?" the majority of people will say he is a captain on the tv show A question of sport or is on adverts, he is not well known for his cricket career, whereas Gascoigne everyone knows even today what he was best at.
....
Most cricket fans always say cricket requires endurance - well guess what? it does. Its very enduring on my mental stability to watch such a sport where nothing happens for days on end and puts the majority of normal people on the verge of suicide.
They also say it requires concentration - really? to stand in a field for days on end requires concentration. Thats news to me. Cows must be the cleverest animals in the world then because thats what they do.
....
I would rather watch the cows and sheep in the field grazing through the train window on the way to an away game than watch cricket. More happens. Cricket really is that boring.
....
The majority of people who go to watch cricket say " bring a book for the breaks". Why the heck do I need to bring a book if this sport is so exciting and so brilliant. Clearly cricket is terrible.
....
The news about the corruption in cricket is actually getting more recognition than cricket itself. More people are interested in the corruption than any test match that is taking place.
....
In Golf you participate in tournaments all over the world. Seriously, who wants to go to Pakistan? There are only 2 nice places that are involved with cricket and they South Africa and Australia.

you have a few points there
test cricket is boring. but come the ashes i garantee most people on here will be watching.
same with the ryder cup.
test cricket is like watching grass grow, but T20 CRICKET is a totally diffrent kettle of fish.
as for the money part, england were involved in a game not long ago, where the winners got a million dollars per player
and for winning the ashes players recieved between 500k and a million pound inc. sponsorship.
even in club cricket gibbs played 5 games for glamorgan and got 50k so money aint that bad
and if you dont win, you can always pop over to india and chat to ranjad mahatmacoat and hel chuck you half a mill

Have to agree wholeheartedly with your choices there "Nottage", I would also like to add Tennis, I find that sport tedious to say the least.

The thing that I don't get in cricket is the scoring system. It's too complicated for someone who wants to get interested in the sport. And a game that can see one team leading another but fail to win because it rains is another reason. My Dad was a very good cricketer and in his younger days was offered professional terms with Glamorgan but I just can't get the same enthusiasm as he has for the game

Many thanks, CF64

And I also agree with your addition of tennis. It's too much about powerplay now, subtlety is dying out in the game
