Season tickets disaster

Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:48 pm

Expect a massive drop in renewals next season.

At least 1/2 who sit around me won’t renew.

I can’t disagree with there reasons.1. We won’t spend any money. 2. Morison is not good enough 3. It will be all free transfers and loans. 4. We won’t attract any decent players. My view is I’ll be there but I personally feel we should sell Colwill and use the money to bring in a striker or two. This league will be pretty even if you take the bottom 3 coming down out of it so next season play offs aren’t beyond us if we can sign the right players.

Colwill is being over-hyped - he would not attract very much in the way of bids. Give him another 12 months to improve his fitness and experience and he could perhaps then command a decent fee.

I was going to raise a new post on Rubin but i thought it sound like I am moaning, but is there anything wrong with Rubin ? He is like an old man out there, even when he only came on in the second half.

I haven't seen a young kid with so much passing range, every pass has just enough on it for the situation he thinks like a seasoned pro and is on a different wavelength to his teammates.

Is he protecting an injury ? I get he is a big lad and he isn't going to zip around the pitch but it look so laboured.

If i was SM my plan A would be to hide what he can't do and exploit everything he can do

I normally renew when the mail comes out, but i will do it a day or two before the early bird deadline as some form of pointless protest

I'd build a team around Rubin in an advanced centre mid role. He's wasted out wide. Like you say, he isn't the type of player to be zipping around. Need some pace in front of him with players with the intelligence to make the runs.

He's too slow for Championship, and really does overdo those step-overs. Teams have got wind of them and they're not effective any more.

I've already renewed. My opinion for what it's worth is I'm looking forward to a season where hopefully there will be no big earners getting g splinters in their arsenal fir doing nothing. Hopefully morison will bring in a few hungry youngsters and maybe one or two older heads. As long as the older heads are not sick notes what's not to look forward to. For the last year we've carried pack, bacuna, tomlin and others. If I wasn't going to renew I'd have done it last season.

Bit early to call it disaster as st just in sale and wont have idea how many bought until around July! A good transfer window can change peoples opinion about renuing
