Been saying it all along.
What a penalty hey. Etherigde didn't move.

I'd give him a contract for sure.

Definitely. Good track record with lack of injuries. Proven ability at championship level. Will he set the world alight ? No. Can he do a solid job? Yes. He can be a terrier. He can pick a pass and he has a worldie goal in the locker. How much woikd it cost to replace him?

I reckon he’s good n the dressing room and on the training pitch too.

heard he has already agreed somewhere else.

Not for me.
Extremely limited player. Passing is very poor and regularly gives the ball away.
Booked in virtually every game he plays because he mistimes his tackles and strolls around pretending to be a "hard man".
We need much better.

Big no for me waves his arms about flapping like a seagull gives fouls away regulary and turns the play backwards on most occasions and yesterday yes was his best 45 i have seen
but to little to late and how many goals this season to much of a defencive midfielder and compare to gunnarsson no comparison

Good on his day. Shame that day is very rare. It’s a no for me.

No from me

Someone on another topic wants vaulks to be captain?
Heaven forbid.

On playing ability alone, probably not.
However, on a few recent strands it has been acknowledged that we're lacking leaders in the dressing room and he's certainly vocal and will get stuck in.
Sometimes you need a player like that around the dressing room and training pitch and in certain games. So on balance I would probably keep him although I'm not sure whether he'd be a first choice.

PILEDRIVER 64
Surely somewhere in the world there is a better midfielder to be found than vaulks and for rhe same wage
Nice bloke but so is my mate but we need someone like gunarsson as a dynamo in midfields bloody hell i saw dave edwards x wales midfielder playing for bala town and he still looks better than vaulks our exspectations and standards have dropped if vaulks is the answer imo nothing personal to the lad.

I don't really feel strongly about this one but I always look back at Warnock said when he came in. He said the dressing room was too quiet and wanted to fill his dressing room with leaders and he went out and got Bamba, Peltier, etc.
It's about getting a balance, Wintle has been superb for us but you wouldn't say that he's a natural leader so you need someone in there alongside him who is.
Whether it's Vaulks or someone new I'm not really that bothered but it is an issue that needs addressing.

Totally agree.
Wasn’t peltier was actually signed by Slade ((not being picky). I stand to be corrected.

A bit marmite isn't he disliked and loved ?
It's a yes for me good attitude gives 100% and as someone said as someone said has a good personality and positive in the dressing room.
I've met him a few times and he's a decent grounded bloke too.

Yes he is marmite for sure and this board makes me laugh because when he has a poor game it’s full of .. he’s shite, get rid, can’t pass, etc, etc.
When he has a very occasional good game it’s .. give him a new contract, great at this level, etc, etc.
Had to laugh at some clown who said he should me made captain.
For me, if the contracts right keep him as a squad player if, hopefully, we can bring in better.
