Drameh refuses to come off

In the final 15 minutes of the first half it was genuinely painful watching Cody Drameh. He got a bang on the leg when he tried to cross a ball in on the half-four mark and limped for a few minutes thereafter, being crumpling to the ground in a heap.

It looked impossible that he would carry on, with Morison telling Mark McGuinness to warm up as he took his training top off in anticipation of a substitution.

But Drameh was having none of it and refused to be taken off, which was quite bizarre considering he literally couldn't run. It seemed as though the matter would have to be taken out of his hands but he insisted on making it through until half-time. Suffice it to say, he did not re-emerge after the break.

"He just wanted to give it a go, that's the kid he is! He just had a whack on his knee, which he had been dealing with, we had been managing it during the week," Morison said after the match.

"He said to me at half-time it was the best it had felt all week and the first thing that happened was he had a whack on it. We have worked incredibly hard to get people in back in January to change the dynamic of the group, and you lose two of the five with Alfie Doughty and then Cody today, hopefully Cody isn't too bad."

Joe Ralls, who was also substituted at half-time, felt his groin and it was decided he was going to be pulled out of the action with three games coming in quick succession.

Would love to keep Drameh longer term. I don’t think we have the finances available to do so unless Leeds Lon him out again but even then I can see him going to a newly promoted premier league team.

He and Giles have been shining lights of a shit season. Hopefully Morison has more lined up like Drameh for next season.
