dj on mathews confused!

im a big fan of dave jones always have been from day1,but in the echo today he's slated mathews and said its a man's world etc about that goal.only the other week he was saying he's only a kid and a cracking prospect what is it a kid or man.i would say he's over 18 his balls have dropped so he's a man so dj make your mind up he is a good prospect and play him more.

I have said for a while beak that i think adam mathews is not a good defender,often caught out of position with cross field balls,and not a great tackler,i also think the lad has gone backwards,but maybe that is down to confidence,however i do like adams pace and attacking prowess,i think he could have a similar impact to gareth bale in the championship if moved into right wing/midfield,and then fulfill his potential,regarding the dave jones quote if that is true that is wrong and dj should not blame him for the TEAMS piss poor performance+slate him like that mate

I've never been a fan of managers washing their laundry in public. It could either effect the young lads confidence or make him think "I'll show him". He won't be the first or the last defender to score an own goal and to publicly have a go at the boy is harsh in my book.

Agreed, why put him in defence he can't defend, tackle and his positioning is bad, but going forward with the ball he's a totally different player.
