' New appointment imminent '
Cardiff City are close to appointing a new head of performance following the departure of Carl Serrant.
Serrant, who was brought to the club by Neil Warnock, was head of fitness and conditioning at Cardiff before former Bluebirds coach James Rowberry added him to his coaching staff at Newport County.
With Morison, Mark Hudson and Tom Ramasut all signed on for the next year, Serrant's replacement is the last piece of the jigsaw, so to speak, but the manager is hopeful that an announcement on that front will be made soon.
"We are getting there," Morison said when asked what else needs to be done. "Hopefully we will have a new head of performance soon, obviously because Carl Serrant left (for Newport). We want to change a couple of bits in the training ground as we feel it will make it a better environment. We are not far away."
