The truth about Jed Wallace and Co
Cardiff City yesterday were linked to three players; Millwall's Jed Wallace, Fulham's Michael Hector and Derby County's Ryan Allsop by Glenn Williams , Media Wales once again.
All three are seasoned Championship pros and Cardiff want to add depth to their squad this summer. However, it is understood that the likelihood of getting all three is slim to none.
Their wages are way above Cardiff’s budget for next season and Morison will have to look to the lower leagues for the talent he needs.
Wallace's wages are far and above what Cardiff are looking to pay from this summer onwards. It is understood that the winger, who of course has close ties with Steve Morison from their Millwall days, has suitors elsewhere and could well be on the move in the summer window. However, Cardiff looks an unlikely destination.
Links with Hector have also been played down by Cardiff sources. While the defender is out of contract this summer, he isn't one they are actively chasing as things stand.
Allsop, however, is a person of interest. It's no secret that Cardiff are in the market for another goalkeeper after the confirmed departure of Alex Smithies at the end of the season. Allsop, the Derby goalkeeper, is not short of admirers, though, so there is still a way to go on that one.
Elsewhere, today the Bolton News linked Cardiff with Wanderers winger Dapo Afolayan, claiming the Bluebirds scouted the player during their 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley on Monday, during which he scored his 14th goal of the campaign.

Yep, I had read the word "cap" elsewhere too (although I thought it was from Wales On Line rather than Dalman himself) so there's no criticism to be levelled at people putting it on this board.
It never really made much business or football sense though so the average wage approach is much more in keeping with what we would expect.

Isn't the truth "we don't know".....Suddenly we trust anything that Dalman the salesman says.
I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have 2 or 3 "marquee " by championship standard signings

Negotiations for any new players coming in are simple - are the wage demands over 12k if they are - tara ,if not then lets talk.
Im sure there are plenty of players out there willing to fight for 12k a week in return for an end of season big bonus if we go up (unlikely) or playoffs. We wont be the only club tightening our belts next season

Wonder if Bale will happy with 12k a week
