Cardiff City allegedly have their sights set on these three

Mon Apr 18, 2022 5:53 am

Cardiff City allegedly have their sights set on these three signings in summer.

Jed Wallace (Millwall), Michael Hector (Fulham) and Ryan Allsop (Derby County).

All three are out of contract at the end of this campaign.

Be happy with them.

Jed Wallace. 6 goals and 11 assists this season. Plus he spoke highly of Morison when he was appointed. Be a good signing.

Hector. Hasn't played much this past two years. But always used to do well vs us. They paid 5m from Chelsea for him. WhoScored lists his strength as passing. Still only 29. Another good one in my opinion.

Allsop. Derby's GK. Can't see much of what he can offer us. But we're gonna need a keeper.

Considering we've been told time and time again we have no money to spend then we could do a lot worse than signing these lot

Very capable players indeed. Hope these aren't just rumours

The first two would be real statements of intent. Always been impressed by Wallace since his Pompey days and Hector was a beast against us during the two play off games v Fulham under Harris.

Alsop I’m not so sure about. If it’s a free and wages are relatively cheap then he could prove to be a very good number 2.

No chance I’m afraid.

The wage cap will mean we don’t get Wallace. Lots of interest in him already.

Wallace is on £12k a week so within our wage cap!

Trust me, no chance. He’s on more than £12k at the moment, and he’s been offered way more than this already - there are a huge number of clubs tracking him, Premiership, Championship and abroad.

The relationship with Morison is very good, and would be the thing that tempts him most, but the wages on offer are far too low in comparison to other options available.

And therein lies the problem that every fan can see but alas our board cannot.

So people believe what morison said about wage cap because it could be depremental to team building .. but never believe him if its positive? No problem with that but being one eyed doesnt make for balanced viewpoint.... Is this rumour even true about him and the other two? Cant wait for start of next season so can have a real idea of what the squad looks like rather than fantasy football squad....
Wonder how derby fans view fact that Rooney says needs 40 players in squad and as got precisely five contracted players to start with.......

Trust me as well but if the right players become available this wage cap will not come into play.
We are actively very close to signing three players on a preseason contract, not saying they are these 3, but you never know ;) we could be lucky
City are really pulling out all the stops to get players in, It's going to be one hell of a summer!

Looking forward to seeing who the gaffer brings in! We need the reinforcements for sure - Jed Wallace won't be one of them though.

Always wanted Jed Wallace to come to us. Very good player at Championship Level.

Hopefully we can add Hector as-well, he's another one who's very good at this level. I'm unsure on the keeper, but I don't think Phillips has it in him to be our new NO.1. He looks nervous and cannot command his area, so we certainly need to be looking for one with experience. :bluescarf: :bluebird:
