MANCHESTER CITY 'FANS' DISRESPECT MINUTES SILENCE

Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:51 pm

Period of remembrance for Hillsborough victims was cut short by referee Michael Oliver after a few chants from the City end, which prompted boos from the Liverpool fans.

Not sure why anyone would do this but I fully understand the anger of Liverpool's support, who were IMHO rightly incensed.

Manchester City FC have already issued a sincere apology for their out of order 'fans' and rightly so...

Citeh doing well in the game so far...not!

Disappointing to hear that Chris, I hope it was just from the concourse who were unaware of the silence, I've seen that happen before.

No it wasn't. The ref ended the minutes silence early because of it, and Man City have issued an apology for the behaviour of some of their 'fans'.

I just re-read Sven's post and it indeed states that. Beneath disgusting by hopefully just a few coked up wannabees.

I was at the game as a neutral due to work and the chanting during the minute silence certainly came from the stands rather than the concourse.

There were also chants of "97" and "Murderers" too.
As said above the silence seemed to be cut short by the ref

Lowlife scummy behavior, done to shock but simply disgusts.

There has been a few tragedies in football outside of Hillsborough I think they should all be remembered and played at the Charity Shield game each year with club representatives / relatives on the pitch and cease them at other games a sort of coming together for all .
