Why has there not been the same reaction to this as the "super league"?
UEFA really is rotten

Because this is the super league’s sworn enemy.

Why "compete" in your domestic league if you know you'll get in?

This will be the demise of the premier league, it will be the B team for a lot of the premier league games and your full team for the champions league. Two sets of fans, Saturday premier league and the tourists who can afford the champions league tickets. There'll be loads of snobbery as well.

I don't care, I support a club that the journey is more fun than the destination. The premier league experience is poor, the reffing, the fixtures times and dates, the diving and just blatant cheating, the fact that Pep is the world greatest manager but spent the GDP of a small country. FFP is a joke ( i think is bollox anyway) Chelsea owe Abramovich something like 2.5 billion.

Seeing as this will hurt Sky's golden goose it will be interesting who has rights to broadcast, but this is not about the UK or even Europe this is about the worldwide audience.

Madrid vs Man United in Boston, Hanoi or Shanghai will be fun, one thing is over the years there'll be less and less in the clubs city.

Hope they all go bankrupt :)

Completely agree Llan. The most sensible thing Sam Hamam said was getting to the PL would be more fun than being there.
The super league was outrageous and rightly scuppered by clubs realising fan opionion against.
But this wildcard thing is basically providing the current big clubs every bit of financial leverage they wanted to get from the super league. The fact that uefa is sponsoring the change makes it no less rotten. It makes it worse.
How on earth can they create a hierarchy coffeficuent that is fair? At what point in time to they cut it off? Forest over Spurs? We all know it will be simply to favour the clubs wanting favour.

Surely we’d qualify? We’ve had more years of European football than most of the prem clubs!
