I don't know anyone but if you need a passport urgently you can get one processed the same day if you visit the London office, they did have an office in Newport too. Not sure if the Newport office still exists though. Hope this helps

Unfortunately my problem is that one of my grandson’s passports is being processed in Belfast and has been for over 5 weeks. The other one had his back in 2 weeks from Bootle.
We’re off on hols on Sunday (hopefully)

Newport office has gone, applications are online or Post office now. Post Office maybe able to help.

Belfast PO have just replied to my email.
Hopefully they’ll send out tomorrow.

Lads the Newport passport office is still there. They now only allow visitors who have booked an appointment in advance and are paying for the premium fast track passport renewal which takes about 1 week to sort out.

Hope you do get sorted as all these institutions are untouchable. But reminds me of the old joke.
I left a pair of shoes in the cobblers for repair and totally forgot about them. Several years later I found the receipt in an old jacket I was throwing out. I went back to the cobblers and presented the ticket to the cobbler. He looked at the ticket looked at his old tattered book and said "call in tomorrow and they will be ready". Sorry about that and I really hope it all turns out well
