Ciaron Brown admits he was bowled over by the level of support from fans during Oxford United's defeat to Sunderland at the weekend. Brown is currently on loan from Cardiff City, and has been in decent form at the Kassam Stadium. He played in front of a sold-out crowd of nearly 11,700 fans against the Black Cats, and admits he couldn't even hear himself speak at times.
The defender said: “There were times I couldn’t even speak to anyone. I was screaming at people saying ‘I need you here’, but I couldn’t hear anything.
“You want the fans pumping you up and getting behind you – that’s what we’re going to need for the next four games and they’ll do that to the final whistle.”
