Morison makes admission on Stoke City loanee:
Cardiff City boss Steve Morison admits he nearly hooked Alfie Doughty just moments before the loanee's goal in the win over Reading on Saturday. The winger produced a fine finish to restore parity for his side just before the hour, a strike that set Cardiff up for a fine comeback win. However, Morison has since admitted that the winger was only moments away from being replaced before finding the net.
"I was literally about to take him off," Morison said. "Wasn't for no reason. It was just because he hasn't started a game. Isaak was there looking at me waiting to come on, and I had to tell him to sit down!
"It was a great finish. A great bit of football from him. He's had a tough time at Stoke. He's come in for the first couple of games and he got the injury and that's been his last year. It's really frustrating for him. He went to Stoke thinking he was going to play. He's come here done really well and then Joel Bagan goes and scores three in three. So it's been difficult, but I'm really pleased for him
